The category promotes early professional development, ethical technology practice, innovation, and continuous learning.
To qualify, an applicant must be currently enrolled in a recognized Secondary School, Polytechnic, College of Education, University, Technical Institute, Open/Distance Learning Institution, or approved vocational and professional training program. Eligible fields include Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Digital Forensics, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, and other related digital disciplines.

GRADUATE MEMBER - (GMICAIP):Is designed for individuals who have completed foundational academic or professional education in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, computing, and related technological disciplines. This membership category recognizes emerging professionals transitioning from academic training into industry practice and professional development.
To qualify, an applicant must possess at least one recognized academic qualification such as an ND, HND, Bachelor’s Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in fields including Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Statistics, Digital Forensics, Robotics, AI Engineering, or other related digital disciplines.
An intermediate-level professional membership category established for technically competent practitioners with measurable industry experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and related digital technology fields. This grade recognizes individuals who have progressed beyond foundational training and possess practical professional capabilities, technical responsibility, and applied industry competence.
To qualify for Associate Membership, an applicant must possess a minimum academic qualification of an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Cloud Computing, Computer Science, or other related ICT and digital technology fields.
Acceptable certifications may include Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP Associate, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified AI Engineer, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, Google Professional Certifications, and other equivalent globally recognized credentials.Applicants are required to possess a minimum of two to five years of relevant practical industry experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital systems, or related technology environments.

FULL MEMBER - (MICAIP):Is a professional membership category for experienced cybersecurity and artificial intelligence practitioners who have demonstrated advanced technical competence, independent professional capability, and leadership within the technology industry. This grade recognizes professionals actively contributing to cybersecurity operations, AI systems, digital transformation, cloud security, governance, research, or related technology sectors.
To qualify, an applicant must possess at least one recognized academic qualification such as a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or HND supported by advanced professional competence in fields including Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Assurance, Software Engineering, Digital Forensics, Computer Science, or related digital technology disciplines.
Applicants are also expected to possess at least one advanced professional certification, including certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP, CCSP, CEH Master, GIAC, Certified AI Professional, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or other approved globally recognized credentials.A minimum of five years relevant professional experience is required, including independent technical responsibility, project implementation, operational management, or team leadership within cybersecurity, AI, or digital technology environments.
FELLOW – (FICAIP) :Is a senior professional distinction awarded to individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, research, or technology leadership. It represents a high-level recognition of professional maturity, influence, and impact within the ICT and emerging technology ecosystem.
To qualify, an applicant must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s Degree, executive-level technology education, or advanced specialization in cybersecurity or AI is strongly preferred.
To attain Fellow status, applicants must also demonstrate substantial contribution in at least three of the following areas:

An elite professional doctoral fellowship awarded to individuals with exceptional intellectual, research, and strategic contributions to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and advanced digital technologies. It represents one of ICAIP’s highest professional recognitions, reserved for individuals with proven global or national impact.
A minimum of 15–20 years of high-level professional experience is required, with demonstrated leadership in cybersecurity, AI innovation, research, governance, or technology strategy.
Applicants may qualify through either an academic or experiential route. The academic route requires a PhD, DBA, DSc, EngD, or equivalent professional doctorate in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, AI Governance, or related fields. The experiential route requires at least a Master’s Degree combined with extraordinary international professional distinction.
Honorary Fellowship is a special distinction conferred by the Governing Council of ICAIP upon individuals who have attained exceptional distinction in their profession, public service, leadership, innovation, philanthropy, education, technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or related fields and whose achievements align with the mission and values of the Institute. Honorary Fellowship is awarded as a mark of recognition and esteem and shall not ordinarily be obtained through the regular membership progression route.

The Grand Fellow award is the highest honour bestowed by ICAIP, representing lifetime achievement and exceptional distinction. It acknowledges individuals who embody the highest ideals of professionalism, innovation, ethical responsibility, and leadership in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and related fields.
This cadre is reserved for individuals whose legacy demonstrates not only technical or intellectual excellence but also transformative societal impact and enduring contribution to the advancement of humanity through technology.
